When I made the decision to take mrt during peak hr, money was not a key factor. Loss of privacy, public scrutiny on myself and my family and loss of personal time , space, sanity and all feelings in my legs were. The fact that I had to stand for 1hr while holding on to dear life onto a railing someone has rested their buttcrack 5 mins ago, was also important consideration. I had some solid ground to believe that my family would not suffer a drastic change since i pay for my own ezlink card plus my mak got plenty of minyak urut (ointment) for my aching body and i usually sertuh my hands with tanah liat (intense hand washing) when i reach hm. If the balance is tilted further, ill hafta hold onto the railing with both hands, legs plus bite it down hard or there’ll be disruption to service wic e rest of singapore will oni noe when e official statement is released.
